If you think AI can’t be a coding companion, think again. The trick here is to be specific with what you want, both from the role of ChatGPT (“You’re going to write an app with me. Give me step-by-step directions–I’m not an app developer and need lots of help”) and with the initial description of the app (“I want this to be an iOS app that will…”). The more specific you can be at the beginning, the close the code is going to match what’s in your head. And yes, ChatGPT will legit write an entire app if you have the patience to paste errors in and troubleshoot with it. From offering code suggestions to debugging, ChatGPT can be a priceless asset for anyone diving into the world of programming.

You can even take some ideas from an online forum (think Reddit), paste it in, and see if any ideas come about from that.
