Screen Time is the Best, Except When it’s the Worst: Conversations Around Screen Time

Recent studies show that screen time for students are either catastrophically bad for them, or actually don’t matter much at all. We’ll break down resources, articles, blogs, and journals to look at what is actually going on around the kerfuffle that is screen time in schools.

If you’re in our session at #springcue, you’re going to want to edit the slides. So go do that. 😎🤙🏼

On one hand, the American Academy of Pediatrics currently recommends that toddlers and young children spend no more than one hour a day watching quality educational programming. On the other hand, a recent study published in Nature of Human Behaviour shows that technology use has a nearly negligible effect on adolescent psychological well-being.

Huh?

During this session, participants will hear the latest research, most of which is contradictory, and develop a balanced and modern view of screen time for students in the classroom.
